“The workmanship is incredible! Those vans are the BEST I've seen in performance and appearance in all my time as a food manufacturer/distributor. My next refrigerated van will definitely be built by Peravan.”
- Jim Campisi, West Best Foods, Las Vegas, NV
A thermal break is a section of low heat transfer. Our design provides for a Thermal break by separating the vehicle body from the box. The radiant heat travels through the body, and into the cargo area. When the heat reaches the interior, it is met with a voided space.
Polyurethane (PU) Insulation
PU foam has been used as a form of insulation since the 1950’s, and there have been many advancements along the way. Peravan panels provide consistent insulting value across the entire wall floor and roof area. As a result of the blowing agent used in production, our panels actually increase in “R” value as the core temperature decreases. When the foam is produced, conditions are monitored to the second. This large scale production supports a level of quality control that cannot be matched by an open gun spray foam applicator.
To ensure the highest insulating values are maintained for the life of the box, the panels are constructed with impermeable surfaces. When installed the insulation is completely encapsulated by aluminum trim, this creates an impermeable membrane on all sides of the panel. The aged “R” values are comparable to the initial “R” values many years after the box’s construction.
Side & Rear Doors
In an open gun spray foam application, the vehicle doors cannot be properly insulated as they contain mechanisms and electrical components. In addition, the door’s weather stripping are designed for rain water, and provide a seal for the HVAC control in the cab, they are not for refrigeration. Peravan doors provide a proper seal. Using a die, two materials are co extruded into a one piece seal. The seal has both rigid and soft material to provide a triple barrier to the outside. All door hardware are made of stainless steel.
Professional, Quality Controlled Vehicle Up-Fit
With a Peravan conversion, the vehicle is built in one place using standard components. All components are sourced from AQ level venders. Every vehicle endures rigorous testing both on/off road before leaving the plant. All boxes are tested to zero degrees Fahrenheit, deep frozen (MAX units) are tested to -20 degrees Fahrenheit.
Limited Life Time Warranty
Every direct drive refrigeration unit has a mounting kit to connect the compressor to the engine. Every Peravan comes with a limited lifetime warranty from defect of workmanship or installation of the engine mounting bracket. Moving wearable components such as belts, pulleys and tensioners are warranted for the first 20,000 miles.
A Peravan is guaranteed to perform, or we won’t build it. According to Thermo King of Las Vegas, the temperatures reached in a Peravan have never been achieved before. Performance has been the number one issue among all refrigerated cargo van owners. If the unit does not perform, it has no value whatsoever.
Maintaining a Peravan is essential to it’s performance. For years people have either been misinformed about maintenance, or have been terrified to see a huge bill. Every Peravan comes with a built in maintenance program for the first two years. The program stays with the Peravan, not the owner.
WITH THE RISING SUMMER TEMPERATURES, BUSINESSES ARE SEARCHING FOR BETTER WAYS TO PROTECT TEMPERATURE SENSITIVE PRODUCTS FROM DAMAGE DURING TRANSPORT.
THE SOLUTION? PERAVAN’S THERMODYNAMIC SYSTEM. THEY ARE BECOMING SUCH POPULAR TEMPERATURE CONTROL TOOLS IN THE WAKE OF RECENT CHANGES TO THE CLASS 3 TRUCK LINE UP.
